Brown Bear in Ferns, Finland - Limited Edition
STORY
8% of the profit goes to WILD Nature Foundation
On an assignment for National Geographic, we documented Finland’s wildlife and wrote the article “The Forest of the Holy Bear” for the magazine. We were hidden away in a wooden box, a photo hide measuring only 1.8 x 2 metres, perched on top of a trickling creek surrounded by the lush green boreal forest of Finland. We sat here for 16 hours. Every bone in our bodies was aching, along with the insistent bzzzz of the many Nordic mosquitoes waiting in line for our blood … But it all paid off when the giant brown bear sat down on its furry backside in the emerald-coloured ferns and looked straight at us!
