Thermal Lion, India - Limited Edition
STORY
8% of the profit goes to WILD Nature Foundation
Little did they know when their numbers were reduced to just a dozen at the end of the 19th century that their fate would change. While the number of lions in Africa is dwindling, the lion population in India is now stable. Uri photographed these lions for an article in BBC Knowledge magazine, written by the famous big cat scientist Luke Hunter. This article and the accompanying images changed the fate of the Asiatic lions. It changed the legislation in India regarding the lions’ home and secured their place in nature for the future.
